STYLE & ART

The 2011-2012 season of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra concludes on Saturday, April 14 with It’s Live, It’s Large, It’s Mahler!  This spectacular performance finishes the BSO’s “Expect the Unexpected” season, with a concert featuring Mahler’s Symphony No. 1, filling the King Center stage with a 90+ piece orchestra.

In addition to this monumental symphony, the concert will also feature two additional works, the Fidelio Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven and Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis.

This performance would not have been possible without the generous support of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Weber and many of the BSO Musicians. Throughout last season, and this season, BSO Musicians have personally donated portions of their salaries to hire the additional musical talent needed to perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.

The audience will certainly leave the concert hall with renewed excitement for classical music!
