The Jess Parrish Medical Foundation will pay tribute to physicians March 30 as part of the annual Doctor's Day observance.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – For medical professionals who have made a difference in the community by offering healing and hope to the community, the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation wants to pass on the gratitude of generations of patients.

The foundation is once again giving the North Brevard community the opportunity to participate in Parrish Medical Center’s vision of “Healing Families—Healing Communities” by honoring a Parrish physician on March 30.

First held on March 30, 1933, National Doctors’ Day may be the right occasion to honor a Parrish doctor through a gift to the foundation and by expressing your gratitude to area physicians by composing a personal note of thanks to them.

Notes for Parrish physicians will be personally delivered to them and gift amounts will not be disclosed publically.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Karla Foster, RN, Memorial Nursing Scholarship.

It was created in 2007 by Douglas Foster to honor his late wife, Karla Foster. She was a Parrish nurse for 22 years who was killed in an accident.

The Karla Foster, RN, Memorial Nursing Scholarship is given out each year to a local student to pursue a nurse degree.

Appreciation notes and monetary gifts may be made directly to the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation by mail at PO Box 2969, Titusville, Florida 32781-2969.

For more information about this year’s program, call 321-269-4066.
