BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Health First President & CEO Steve Johnson announced the appointment of Drew Rector as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer.

In this role, Rector will head Health First’s new Outpatient & Wellness Division, including matrix service lines, sales, outpatient services, marketing functions, as well as community health partnerships and programs.

“Drew brings great insight to share with our leadership team, including his success and commitment in partnering with physicians,” Johnson said.

“His experience will be invaluable in helping our organization identify future strategies and growth opportunities to incorporate in the changing healthcare environment.”

Rector most recently served as a Hospital President and Orthopedic Service Line Executive at SSM Health Care headquartered in St. Louis, MO.

He has extensive service line development and operational experience, as well as successful development of physician alliances. He previously worked for HCA as a Corporate VP of Cardiovascular Services in Florida.  He also served as Chief Operating Officer of OrthoCarolina, an 85-physician group practice in North Carolina.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Rector attended the University of South Florida where he earned his Master’s of Business degree.
