OBITUARY

Ernest Paul Barna

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Ernest Paul “Ernie” Barna, 69, of Melbourne, went home to be with his beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

He was born on January 13, 1943 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to the late Alexander and Cecelia Barna.

Ernie was a faithful member of Eau Gallie First Baptist Church and the Miracle Bible Study Class.

He moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his family in 1960 and graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.

In 1961, he entered the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1965.

Ernie had a sweet disposition and was loved by all who knew him.

He was a dedicated husband and father who had an amazing love and passion for Jesus and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon, and 3 children: daughters Rene’ (Paul) Berube of Indialantic and Karen Price (Doug Young) of Palm Bay, son Steven (Jenni) Barna of Melbourne and eight grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Alexander Barna, sister Diane Sewell (Charlie Farrell), sisters-in-law Darlene (Chuck) Conner and Janice Romaine, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Home.

An awesome Christian Memorial Service was held in Ernie’s honor on Thursday, April 26 at Eau Gallie First Baptist Church for his dedicated family and friends, and burial services with military honors followed at Florida Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the angels of Vitas Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for Ernie during the last 6 months of his life. May God bless you for your dedication to him.
