BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA  – Joseph “Joe” Felkner has joined Health First’s Executive Leadership Team as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  

Johnson

Health First President & CEO Steve Johnson announced that Felkner will take over the financial reins of Health First from Robert “Bob” Galloway who recently retired. Galloway had successfully overseen financial management at Health First since the integrated health system was formed in Brevard County in 1995.

Felkner comes to Health First after serving as CFO of the Lehigh Valley Health Network, a $1.6 billion integrated healthcare network in Pennsylvania.  He previously lived and worked in Florida as CFO and Chief Strategy Officer for Baptist Health Care in Pensacola.

Felkner’s experience includes hospital and health system financial management, operations improvement, managing institutional investment portfolios, joint venture development and working with capital markets and rating agencies on behalf of not-for-profit health systems.

Galloway

He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master’s of Health Administration degrees from Ohio State University.
