By  //  April 30, 2012

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FL– Angela Bozorth has been a substance abuse counselor here in Brevard County for over a decade, working with clients referred from Adult and Juvenile Drug Court, felony and misdemeanor probation, DUI traffic school and a host of other social service agencies. Recently, she opened her own practice to offer clients as well as other referral sources top-notch services.

“There are some great people working in the substance abuse field in this area and it’s not for the money, it’s because we really want to help those that are ready to be helped,” said Bozorth. CHANGES RECOVERY SERVICES offers plenty of discreet parking in the rear of the building as well as being located directly on the SCAT public bus route. The business offers day, evening and weekend evaluations, sessions and classes at affordable prices.

CHANGES RECOVERY SERVICES is staffed with substance abuse counselors certified by the Florida Certification Board and are committed to using the latest evidence-based practice techniques. “These programs are really effective if the client is willing to commit to recovery,” Bozorth added.

Conveniently  located at 474 North Harbor City Blvd., Suite 3 Melbourne, FL 32935, CHANGES RECOVERY SERVICES provides a beautifully decorated new facility situated between the two causeways, handy for clients coming from beachside as well as Melbourne and Palm Bay which, unfortunately have the dubious distinction of ranking second in the nation when it comes to alcohol abuse.

I offer individual sessions as well as groups that meet court-ordered standards. I also work with families of addicts.” Beginning Saturday May 12, 2012 at 5 PM a Support Group will be open to family members whose lives have been devastated by a loved one’s substance abuse problem.

Bozorth holds degrees in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice Administration, is a Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional (Florida Certification Board #271) and a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Shoplifting Prevention Coalition.

CHANGES RECOVERY SERVICES is now open to the public Monday thru Friday 10AM to 6 PM, with evening classes available upon assignment. Also, Saturday appointments are available by appointment.

  1. I’m trying to find out if the Saturday evening co-dependent support group is still going on?
I’ve seen the ad in the newspaper, but it had no address, only a telephone number 321-600-4974 and it just kept ringing, no one answered. I would like to join up with such a group. Please contact me.

    Thank You
