Weintraub New Health First Health Plans Vice President

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Andrew Weintraub has been named Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Health First Health Plans.

Weintraub comes to  Health First Health Plans with more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in the health plan industry and an extensive background in account management, sales, customer service, enrollment, business development, underwriting and consulting.

In his new position, Weintraub will assume leadership of business development activities for Health First Health Plans’s commercial group plans, Medicare Advantage plans, Medigap (Medicare Supplemental Insurance) and Medicare prescription drug (PDP) plans.  Weintraub will also lead business development efforts into new markets.

Outgoing Vice President of Sales and Marketing, James E. Beermann, Jr., has been appointed as Vice President of Finance of Health First Health Plans Operations.

Beermann will report directly to Joseph Joe Felkner, who recently joined Health First’s Executive Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), after the recent retirement of Bob Galloway, who had served as CFO since Health First Health Plans’s parent organization, Health First, was formed in 1995.
