Austin Pettit Appreciation Party Set for July 14 in Cocoa Beach

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — The Austin Pettit Appreciation Party and fundraiser will be held on Saturday, July 14th from 12 noon to 10 p.m. at the Cocoa Beach Country Club Pavilion. 

Many of Austin’s fellow musicians will come together and will perform during a day of great music and celebration including Mo Geetz, The Bone Dogs, Lady DB & The Dukes, Different Worlds, Josh Miller, The Space Coast Playboys and special guest from LA, Paul Ill and Truly Blessed.

ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP

  • 12 pm to 1 pm – Different Worlds
  • 1:20 pm to 2:20 pm – Space Coast Playboys
  • 2:40 pm to 3:40 pm – Josh Miller
  • 4 pm to 5 pm – The Bone Dogs
  • 5:20 pm to 6:20 pm – Truly Blessed featuring Paul Ill
  • 6:40 pm to 7:40 pm – Lady DB & The Dukes
  • 8 pm to 10 pm – Mo Geetz & The AP Jam

Following the event at the Cocoa Beach Country Club, there will also be an AP jam, featuring other great Space Coast Musicians, from 10pm to midnight, at the Beach Shack at the end of Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach.

Austin Pettit, Brevard County’s homegrown guitar hero needs help. Known for his guitar playing genius and playing from the heart, Austin is one of Brevard’s favorite and most recognized musicians.

From his early days at Cocoa Beach’s Pillow Talk Lounge and Fudpuckers, with bands such as Stampede and Tight Shoes, to touring nationally with Grinderswitch opening for The Allman brothers, Austin has done it all.

Founded the legendary Groove Monsters

Austin also founded the legendary Groove Monsters with Stephen Miller and Dave Fiester, then formed the Austin Pettit Band, which is now reaching a new generation of music lovers with Mo Geetz.

Austin Pettit has been a main stay of the Space Coast music scene for nearly 40 years. Music lovers can show their appreciation for all the years of music and memories Austin has provided by joining other music lovers for a great day of Music, Fun, Food, and Memories on July 14.

A donation at the door will be requested to enjoy 10 hours of great music. There will be raffles, a silent auction and more All proceeds will go to help Austin with his cancer treatments.

Austin has recently undergone cancer surgery and will be out of work for many weeks. Like many people stricken with the disease, Austin Pettit needs help.

Directions:

The Minuteman Causeway intersects with Highway A1A,  2.7 miles south of State Road 520, and 7.3 miles North of Pineda Causeway (State Road 404).

From the intersection of Minuteman Causeway and A1A, head west on Minuteman for 1.4 miles.

Turn Left on Tom Warriner Blvd. and drive past the water plant to your left.

The Country Club will be at the end of this road and the pavilion will be to the east of the Clubhouse past the swimming pool.
