Brevard Symphony Orchestra Ready For New Season

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Symphony Orchestra music director and principal conductor Christopher Confessore has announced programming for the BSO’s 2012/13 season.

The orchestra has chosen to “DREAM” big for its  59th season.

Confessore will lead 20 performances beginning July 2012 with appearances emphasizing the orchestra’s commitment to bringing quality, live, symphonic performances to the community.

A variety of concerts will fill the season including evening performances, a matinee series, two free concerts and a special holiday performance.

Brevard Symphony Orchestra ensembles will appear throughout the year performing at venues across Brevard County.

“Great music has the power to move us in many ways,” said Confessore, “ With our new season – DREAM – we present a collection of inspirational music that conjures images and feelings ranging from hope, love and reverence to wonder, magic and nature’s beauty.”

The 2012/13 season will see the return of BSO audience favorite guest artists, including Bryan Wallick, virtuoso violinists Karen Gomyo and Jennifer Frautschi, and French Horn player  William Purvis.

Highlighting the season, will be an enchanting concert Feb. 2, 2013 featuring Susan Egan, a world-renowned Broadway headliner and Tony-nominated vocalist.

Tickets prices for the Brevard Symphony Orchestra will remain the same for the upcoming subscription concert season.

Subscription materials for the 2012/13 season are now available, offering up to 50 percent off regular single-ticket prices with a wide variety of concert packages.

First-time subscribers save 25 percent off subscriptions for the 2012/13 season.

Full-time teachers and students save 50 percent off subscriptions and single tickets in areas two and three.

New for 2012/13, the orchestra is launching a new ticket holders’ exclusives program called Date Night is Back! 

This patrons-only program features five-day advance ticket promotions online for individual tickets and exclusive offers at area restaurants, hotels and other area retailers.
