BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Seems hard to believe, but prep football spring games are almost here.

Starting Saturday and running through next Friday night up and down the Space Coast, Brevard’s varsity football programs will be able to see how effective spring drills have been in live game competition.

Spring games do not count in the standings and typically include at least a quarter devoted to JV players, but from an evaluation standpoint, spring games provide valuable insight for prep coaches.

And these games also give fans a glimpse of what they might see more of come fall.

Area teams opened practice May 1 and the spring games mark the end of spring drills.
