Winners Advance To State Tournaments

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The next step leading to the state championship tournaments for Little League All-Stars district baseball and softball winners occurs today in some divisions.

Sectional tournament play for 9/10 baseball, 10/11 baseball, Majors softball and Seniors softball will be conducted starting this morning.

Champions from today’s sectionals advance to the state tournaments opening next Friday.   

The 2012 District 22 All-Stars champions include:

• 9/10 baseball — Merritt Island (plays in sectionals in Debary today)

• 10/11 baseball — Mims (plays in sectionals in St. Augustine today)

• Major baseball — Merritt Island (Plays in sectionals at Debary on July 21)

• Junior baseball — Rockledge (Plays in sectionals at St. Augustine on July 21)

• Senior baseball — Rockledge (plays in sectionals at W.W. James Park in Titusville on July 21)

• Major softball — Rockledge (plays in sectionals at Rockledge Park today)

• Senior softball — Port St. John (plays in sectionals at Rockledge Park today)

Senior baseball — South Beaches (advances to Southeast Regionals at Viera Regional Park on Aug. 2)

Major softball — Viera/Suntree (plays in sectionals at Viera Regional Park today)

Senior softball — South Beaches (advances to state tournament at Fort Braden on July 20)
