Merritt Island Pedestrian Dies In Accident

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – A pedestrian died after walking in front of a vehicle on State Road 3 on Merritt Island on Saturday night.
Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Wanda Diaz said Colleen Daignault of Merritt Island was headed north on State Road 3 about 8:50 p.m. Saturday when a pedestrian walked directly in front of her 2012 Toyota Scion near Spruce Avenue.
Diaz said Daignault was unable to stop and the pedestrian was struck and killed.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of family.
