Titusville Detective Mark Jennings said James Franklin Frost III of Merritt Island, 49, was taken into custody in Orange County on Monday by Orlando police after robbing a Walgreens Pharmacy on East Colonial Drive of more than 600 Dilaudid pills.

TD Bank employees positively identified Frost on July 12 as the man who held up the bank in Titusville.

At about 2 p.m. July 11, a man walked into the bank at 201 Cheney Highway in Titusville and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

The suspect was wearing a yellow baseball cap and had on a dark denim jacket, dark pants and wore reading glasses.

Police said he instructed the teller not to insert a GPS tracker or “bait” money in the cash.

This was the second time in a little more than two months that this TD Bank branch has been held up.

David Clay McCarey of Titusville was arrested May 10 following the May 7 robbery of the exact same bank in Titusville.

Detective Jennings said Frost had an active arrest warrant out for him for violating his probation for a previous bank robbery.

Frost also has several prior convictions for robbery.
