Games Shifted To MCC In Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard Community College’s opening soccer weekend may have been moved from Viera Regional Park to Melbourne Central Catholic High School because of wet grounds, but it can’t dampen the enthusiasm shown by Titans head coach Jeff Carr.

“We’re ranked eighth in the nation in pre-season polls,” Carr said. “We have 17 new players and it should be an interesting year to build on. I’m really excited about the young ladies we have on the team.”

The Titans open the regular season with a 2 p.m. game Saturday at MCC against St. Louis Community College.

Broward College also will play St. Louis Community College at 6 p.m. Friday at MCC.

Admission to both games is free.

We sat down with Coach Carr at the BCC Fall Sports Media Day and asked him what he thinks of his squad’s chances this year.
