AT 5:01 OF THE FIRST QUARTER MELBOURNE TAKES THE LEAD 3-0 ON A 22-YARD FIELD GOAL BY PAT BRUSH.

MEL-HIGH DROVE 75 YARDS IN 8 PLAYS TO SET UP BRUSH’S FIELD GOAL.

AT THE END OF THE FIRST QUARTER MELBOURNE LEADS 3-0.

MEL-HI JR. RUNNNG BACK CARSON JACKSON HAS BEEN THE SPARK PLUG FOR THE BULLDOGS GAINING 50 YARDS ON 6 CARRIES.

AT THE END OF THE THIRD QUARTER BOTH DEFENSES APPEAR TO BE WEEKS AHEAD OF THE OFFENSE AS EACH TEAM PUNTED FOUR TIMES IN THE FIRST HALF.

AT THE END OF THE THIRD QUARTER, MEL-HIGH LEADS 3-0.

Following the Bulldogs win coach Todd Wilson said, “I’m proud of the way the kids played but hoped we had a little more offense, but Sebastian had a great defense.”

Wilson also thought the punting game was in mid season form. ”Pat Brush had some outstanding punts and some came with low snaps but he got them away excellent. If we had a MVP it would have to be him,” added Wilson.

Wilson said Parker Kempfer had the play of the game when he sacked the Sebastian quarterback and caused a drive ending fumble with 40 seconds left at the Sebastian 34 yard line.

Running back Carson Jackson said, “It was a good win for us to start off with but we have lots of room for improvement.”

Wilson also added, “We have Satelite next week and they will be ready for us.”
