Building On 2011 Success
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – With an highly touted and experienced passing game and a number of huge confidence building wins last year, optimism abounds as football season rolls around again for the Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School Minutemen.
Cocoa Beach served notice in 2011 that it’s a strong and capable squad, posting huge victories over longtime rival Melbourne Central Catholic, Eau Gallie and Satellite, to name a few.
When practice opens this week, Coach Tony Piccalo will find an abundance of depth at the skilled positions and a proven leader in 6-foot-4 senior quarterback David Dessent.
The Minutemen were out in force at Space Coast Sports Media Day at Space Coast Stadium and we had a chance to interview Dessent about the team and his expectations going into a new season.
