Grad Student Receives Zonta Club Scholarship

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A Florida Institute of Technology graduate student in business administration has won this year’s Jane M. Klausman Scholarship, awarded by the Zonta Club of Melbourne.
Melisa Salmanoglu, 25, plans to complete her master’s degree in December.
She has a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering from Istanbul Technical University in Turkey.
The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a woman pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree.
The Zonta Club of Melbourne, a member of Zonta International, was chartered in 1983.
The club participates in service projects and scholarships advancing the status of women globally, nationally and locally.
