Police Operation Targets Melbourne Prostitution

Three Arrests Made

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Special Operations Unit of the Melbourne Police Department conducted a prostitution detail Tuesday that resulted in three arrests.

Melbourne Police Lt.T.A. Turner said efforts began by the unit at 5 p.m. Tuesday and were wrapped up by 9 p.m. within Melbourne city limits.

Suspected prostitutes arrested were 30-year-old Barbara Morse, 37-year-old Michelle L. Alicea and 39-year-old Virgina Ellis

Morse was charged with prostitution, sale of oxycodone and possession of oxycodone.

Ellis was charged with prostitution, possession of cocaine, sale of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Alicea was charged with prostitution.

Turner said more information about the investigation may be made available later.
