BCC Golfers Third In Webber Warrior Invitational

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College golf team dropped to a third-place finish in the Webber Warrior Invitational in Lake Wales on Monday.

BCC, which was second at 591 after Sunday’s first round, shot 288 on Monday for a 54-hole total of 879. St. Thomas University of Miami shot 286 on Monday to finish first with a three-round total of 860.

Host Webber shot a 281 on Monday to finish second at 875. Nine teams competed.

BCC’s Brett Maue shot 73 on Monday for a three-round total of 214, good for second place. Winner Omar Tejeira of St. Thomas finished with a 72 on Monday for a three-round total of 210.

Other BCC scores were Keith Greene 82-74-66-222; Blake Biggs 71-76-75-222; Arthur Leonard, 76-74-76-226 and Tyler Howes 80-75-74-229.

Next up for BCC, which finished second in its fall season opener at Wallace State in Alabama, will be the Darton College Fall Invitational Oct. 8 to 9 in Albany, Ga.
