Brevard Sheriff Promotes 15 To New Ranks

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Promotions always put a smile on the face of Brevard County Sheriff Jack Parker.

Such was the case last Thursday when the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office held a promotional ceremony at the Sheriff’s Office North Precinct in Titusville.

Sheriff Parker made three sergeant promotions, eight corporal promotions, two Field Training Officer promotions and also promoted two deputy sheriff’s to the assignment of Agent.

The newly promoted deputies are assigned to work in the Uniform Patrol Division, Jail Complex and Criminal Investigations Division.

The following Sheriff’s Office personnel were recognized during the ceremony and promoted:

 • Corporal Kurt Benfant to Sergeant

 • Corporal Harold Stafford to Sergeant

 • Acting Sergeant Stephen Fernez to Sergeant

 • FTO David Scheuerer to Corporal

 • FTO Ghayas Ahmed to Corporal

 • FTO Shelly Gardner to Corporal

 • Corrections Deputy James Ris to Corporal

 • Corrections Deputy Edward Medbery to Corporal

 • Deputy Brad Bellflower to Corporal

 • Agent Jim Haman to Corporal

 • Agent Marc Rosenfeld to Corporal

 • Corrections Deputy Thomas Parrott to Field Training Officer

 • Corrections Deputy Jason Lewis to Field Training Officer

 • Deputy Sara McLennon to Agent

 • Deputy Jack Hanigan to Agent
