Brevard fans have been treated through the years to some outstanding play at the quarterback position and this season is proving to be a bonanza for top-flight talent taking snaps for local teams.

Some of the greats of Brevard at quarterback have ranged from Melbourne’s Kim Hammond in the 1960s to Merritt Island’s Jimmy Black in the 1970s and Rockledge’s Hunter Pingston in the 2000s.

The quarterback spot is a key position, so having an effective signal caller often means the difference between winning and losing in high school football.

So in a fun poll, we’re asking you to select the player you think is the top quarterback  playing high school football here this year.
