‘Green Business’ Conference Set For Holmes Regional Medical Center

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Local businesses are being invited to the upcoming 2012 Pollution Prevention/Sustainability Conference in Melbourne to find ways to operate a ‘Green Business,’ improving environmental profitability and reducing liabilities.

An introduction to Pollution Prevention (P2) discusses some commonsense business practices that will save money and reduce environmental liability.

The conference is scheduled on Sept. 20 to 21 at Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center, 1350 S. Hickory Street in Melbourne. Presented by the Florida Pollution Prevention Roundtable (FLPPR), the event is sponsored in part by Health First, Bausch & Lomb and Stericycle.

Attendees will learn how to operate a ‘Green Business’ and will receive a self assessment guide to identifying environmental profit opportunities. An introduction to Pollution Prevention (P2) discusses some commonsense business practices that will save money and reduce environmental liability.

The 2012 FLPPR Pollution Prevention Award will be presented to two companies on Friday to recognize their achievements in minimizing environmental impacts. The P2 Roundtable provides attendees an opportunity to discuss a variety of topics not covered by the agenda.
