Police Learn Identity Of Palm Bay Murder Victim

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Department investigators continue to sort through evidence in a shooting Sunday night that resulted in the death of Brandon Jones.

Palm Bay Police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez said officers were called to a shooting near Florida Avenue and Washington Street in Palm Bay about 7 p.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived they found Jones, 22, suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Palm Bay Hospital and later pronounced dead, Martinez said.

Homicide detectives and crime scene technicians were at the scene through Tuesday securing evidence and obtaining possible witness testimony.
