BCC Meets Pearl River For National Tourney Bid

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College’s women’s soccer team plays Pearl River (Mississippi) Community College on Saturday for the right to advance to the NJCAA Division I national tournament.

The national tournament will be played Nov. 12 to 17 at Melbourne Central Catholic High School.

The BCC Titans, 12-1 and ranked No. 1 nationally in the NJCAA poll, plays 20th-ranked Pearl River (12-2) at 2 p.m. Eastern time in Mississippi for the NJCAA District H title.

A total of 12 teams will advance to the national tournament.

Under head women’s soccer coach Jeff Carr, BCC came within a goal of advancing to the national tournament in 2011, its second year of existence as a women’s program.
