BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Police in Cocoa Beach are trying to find a hit-and-run driver that killed a pedestrian early this morning.

According to Cocoa Beach Police Department Major Jay Harmon, officers  responded to the intersection of Samar and Trinidad Roads about 3:25 a.m. Tuesday found a girsly scene.

When they arrived, police officers discovered Joshua Michael Earle of Bradenton, 26, on the ground and non-responsive suffering from what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.

Earle was transported  to Cape Canaveral Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:23 a.m.

Harmon said witnesses in the area reported seeing a light brown or gold in color Chevrolet 4-door, possibly a Malibu or Impala, strike Earle and flee the scene.
