Senior Gives Boost To Panthers

Florida Tech Fourth In Event
SAINT LEO, FLORIDA – Florida Tech senior Stephanie Fonseca recorded her first top-10 finish of the season to lead the Panthers to a fourth-place women’s cross country finish in the Saint Leo Invitational at the Abby Golf Course in Saint Leo last weekend.
Fonseca finished the 6k event in a time of 23:37.51 to finish 10th.
The Panthers came in with a team finish of fourth, behind meet-winner Florida, as well as Tampa and Saint Leo. Florida Tech placed above SSC opponents Florida Southern and Lynn.
Ellyn Willse brought in the second fastest time for the Panthers with a 25:16.97. Seniors Brianna Fugere and Brittany Reinard finished with the third and fourth best times for Florida Tech.
Florida Tech will next compete in the Florida State Invitational in Tallahassee on Friday. The meet will begin at 6:40 p.m.
