Titans Savor Volleyball Victory Over St. John’s River

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College Titans volleyball squad went on the road Friday night and came away with a three-set victory over host St. John’s River State College.

The Titans rallied a 19-11 deficit in the first set to win 25-22, and then dominated the next two sets, 25-13 and 25-17 to get the victory.

The win also marked the third time this season that the Titans have defeated St. John’s River.

Ashley Dills led BCC with 11 kills and six blocks against St. John’s River. Alicia Vaccarelli followed with nine kills, two aces and 10 digs. Sami Spring contributed 25 assists and three blocks, while Alana Nielander had six kills, three aces and four digs in the contest.

With the win, Brevard improves to 4-21 on the season. St. John’s River drops to 7-22.

BCC’s next home match is 7 p.m. Tuesday against conference rival Indian River State. Its final home match is 7 p.m. Oct. 25 against Polk State.
