“Dueling Pianos,” a lively program by Sarasota pianists Jonathan Spivey and Genevieve Beauchamp will be presented at the church at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Riverside Presbyterian Church will bring two baby grand pianos into the church sanctuary for the event.

The afternoon concert will include a variety of spirited piano favorites from Mozart to Gershwin, as well as a fantasy for two pianos from Bizet’s Carmen and three hymns for organ and piano.

The all-piano concert is a first for the Dr. Vernon Boushell Concert Series, according to Deacon Mason Gibson.

“Each season, we bring in different kinds of uplifting music for Brevardians to enjoy,” said Gibson.  “Dueling Pianos with Spivey and Beauchamp promises to be a perfect fit for our concert series with some of the world’s best loved piano music.”

Named in honor of the late Dr. Vernon Boushell, the concert series continues a musical legacy steeped in the sacred and classical repertoire.

The free Sunday concerts are hosted by Riverside Presbyterian Church of Cocoa Beach and incorporate many different forms of praise music.

Whether classical, contemporary, traditional, folk, sacred or popular, the music of the Dr. Vernon Boushell Concert Series is of an enduring and uplifting nature, performed with affection for the people of Brevard.

Riverside Presbyterian Church  is at 3400 North Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach.
