Sheriff’s Agent Michael Traylor of the North Precinct General Crimes Unit said deputies responded to a reported armed robbery with a firearm Sunday evening at the Mims Discount Beverage Store at 4109 State Road 46 in Mims.

About 7:50 p.m. Sunday a black male entered the store, Traylor said.

“After a brief time in the bathroom, the black male approached the clerk from behind, placing what the clerk believed was a firearm into the small of the clerk’s back and demanded the money from the cash register,” he said. “The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands, providing the suspect with an undetermined amount of money.”
