After several years at college as a classical piano and music composition major, she began in the recording studio where she participated singing and recording demos, radio voice-over work, and the ins and outs of music studio production.

The Suzanah Free latest album is entitled “Forever Yours”. Suzanah Free will perform at the Space Coast State Fair

Her influences were formed from her father, who loved the jazz sounds of the Big Band Era, and her mother’s combined love of Broadway tunes and latin rhythms from her Spanish heritage.

And in her youth, she became immersed in the Island rhythms found in the standard
songs of old Hawaii.

First performing as a duo working the local clubs and special events scene in Florida, Free and her partner and musical director Danny Ellis, performed as the REVEREND DANNY & SISTER BLUES.

Suzanah was the lead vocalist in 2007 to 2008 for the 17 piece big band, SWINGTIME, in Melbourne. She formed SRAZZ in 2009, which was a 5-piece jazz band, featuring some of the best jazz musicians in the region.

Her dreams were realized when she created her newly released album CD “FOREVER YOURS” featuring ‘touch soul’ songs like “Take my Hand”, “My Angel” and “In Your Eyes.”

Adding some spice and sass, she evokes longings of love in her dance number “Makin’ Moves with You” and her joyful love and appreciation to her best friend Danny, in songs “Forever and a Day” and “Forever More.”

Adding the Island dance rhythms to “Jammy Cakes” Suzan feels she can incorporate the playful side of life from the Islands she grew up in. “Believe in Yourself” was written for her children as a reminder to forge ahead and find love, laughter and peace when you follow your heart.

Her love and understanding of the military was the motivation for “Heroes Fight for Peace” to remind those who are critical of our missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, and “Candle in the Window” reminding us to never give up hope, and keep a candle lit so that our loved ones will always have a light to guide them home.
