The Brevard County South Area Parks and Recreation is now offering theater classes for children and teens at the Viera Regional Community Center, 2300 Judge Fran Jamieson Way in Viera.

One class will be held either Mondays from noon to 1 p.m. or Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. A second class will be held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The cost is $5 per child per class. The recommended age for the class is 10 to 15.

Classes will focus on developing acting skills and encouraging creativity and growth.

Students will learn the ins-and-outs of acting terminology, rehearsals, auditions and more.

All activities are conducted and supervised by Brevard County Parks and Recreation staff.
