Titusville Police Detective Tyler Wright said officers were summoned to the Shell Gas Station at 1500 Harrison Street in Titusville about 7 p.m. Monday  to investigate a stabbing there.

Arriving at the scene, police found a 22-year-old man suffering from a laceration and stab wound to his back.

“The actual attack occurred on the sidewalk east of the store, but the victim had to seek refuge inside the gas station,” Wright said.

The victim, whose name was not disclosed by police, was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne for treatment of  his wounds.

He was able to identify his attacker as Equan T. Davis of Titusville, 15, and described the weapon used as a kitchen knife.
