Daytona State Drops BCC Women In Basketball

Titans Play Saturday At Noon In Tourney

DAYTINA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College women’s basketball team dropped its fifth straight game on Friday, falling 80-55 to Daytona State College in the first game of the host’s two-day tournament.

BCC is 2-8 and plays Hillsborough Community College at noon on Saturday at Daytona State.

“Our team has to want to win through desire and effort,” BCC head coach Renee Bellamy said. “They show it in practice but have not applied to the game these last four games. We play on Saturday. Hopefully they will have the drive to win.”

Sophomore co-captain Shaneece Stephens led BCC with 16 points.

Titans freshman Jasmine Bullard, playing in her hometown, scored 11 points.

BCC freshman Nuri Muhammad had six rebounds and Bullard added five more for the Titans.
