With a team grade point average of 3.12, Florida Tech was one of just four Sunshine State Conference men’s soccer teams to receive the award.

The award honors the collegiate soccer programs that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average.

The group announced a total of 739 college soccer teams (227 men, 512 women) to the award list for the 2011-12 academic year.

Joining FIT from the Sunshine State Conference were Barry, Florida Southern and Lynn.
