Winter Day Camp For Children Registration Opens

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Brevard County Parks and Recreation’s North Area Parks Operations is offering winter day camps for children entering first grade through eighth grade from Thursday, Dec. 20, through Monday, Jan. 7.

The camps meet 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be no camp on Monday, Dec. 24; Tuesday, Dec. 25; and Tuesday, Jan. 1 because of holidays.

Registration for winter camp is available at: Port St. John Community Center, 6650 Corto Road, Port St. John; Sandrift Community Center, 585 North Singleton Avenue, Titusville; and the Walter Butler Community Center at Bernice G. Jackson Park, 4201 North U.S. Highway 1, Cocoa (Sharpes).

Port St. John Community Center will offer early and late care at the center and the campers will be transported to Walter Butler Community Center in Sharpes for regular camp hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The weekly fee is $60 per child, with reductions for additional children in the same family. Each camp requires a minimum of 12 participants. A daily rate of $20 is available when the child is attending three or fewer days during the week.

Extended care is available from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The fee for early or late care is $15 per week or $7 per time; for early and late care, the fee is $30 per week or $12 per day.

Late pickup fee (15 minutes after conclusion of program) is $20 per child/per time. Fees are due at the time of registration or on the first day a child attends.
