BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – An old Chinese proverb says “A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.”
The Space Coast will be filled with song on Jan 23 as bird watchers from all over descend upon the area for a special event.
Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department and Environmentally Endangered Lands Program have partnered with the Brevard Nature Alliance to conduct family programs and activities during the 16th annual Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival, which runs Jan. 23 to 28.
These free activities highlight community area parks and sanctuaries throughout the county.
Families and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of a variety of specially planned fun and educational activities throughout the festival.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and closed-toed shoes are encouraged.
Participants are asked to bring water, sunscreen and snacks.
