Daytona State Sweeps BCC In Softball

Titans Now 9-14 Overall For Year

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard Community College’s softball team dropped a home doubleheader to Daytona State College on Thursday, losing 5-4 in eight innings and 9-6.

BCC dropped to 9-14 on the season. Daytona State improved to 8-10.

“We’ve just got to keep pushing,” BCC assistant coach Bob Yanczewski said.

Sophomore Shannen Marchu was the losing pitcher in the first game for BCC. Freshman Brooke Formby took the loss in the second game.

BCC travels to Sanford to play a doubleheader with Seminole State College at 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday and travels to Jacksonville for a doubleheader at 2 and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

BCC returns home to the Palm Bay Campus to host St. Johns River State College at 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday. Admission to BCC home games is free.
