Jackson, a junior, will be offered a scholarship by High Point upon graduating from Melbourne High in 2014.

He was a key player for the Melbourne Bulldogs as the team advanced to the Class 6A state baseball semifinals last spring and helped lead the South Beaches/West Melbourne Little League All-Stars to the Senior League Baseball World Series in Bangor, Maine last summer.

As a youth football quarterback, Jackson led several West Melbourne youth football teams to Brevard County Youth Football and Cheerleading Association Super Bowl championships.

The High Point Panthers are coached by Craig Cozart, former associate head coach for the University of Central Florida.

The Panthers are an NCAA Division 1 school and compete in the Big South Conference.

  1. I have an autographed baseball that Carson signed for me while he was a middle school student of mine. He’s the real deal on and off the field. BTW, my baseball is not for sale, YET.
