Nyles Evans 'Heart & Soul' Of Titans

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – As Brevard Community College men’s basketball team gets ready to play for a conference championship with a home win over Broward College on Wednesday night, the heart and soul of the squad remains upbeat and positive about the Titans’ chances.

Sophomore guard Nyles Evans has been a mainstay for BCC for the last two seasons and his clutch three-point shot with time winding down last week against conference rival Palm Beach State helped the Titans forge a tie and eventually post a win in  overtime.

For the season, Evans is averaging 16.5 points per game for BCC.

Evans will be playing his basketball games closer to home in Ohio next season.

Last fall he agreed to transfer to play for the University of Akron for his junior year after his career at BCC ends.

We sat down with Evans  and asked him what he likes about BCC and playing here and why he chose to attend school in Florida after growing up in Ohio.
