BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – If all goes according to plan, the Brevard Community College Titans will make a serious run at the national championship this spring and a freshman from England could be leading the way.

Arthur Leonard of Hockley, England enjoyed a strong fall season for BCC in his first taste of college competition.

Leonard stepped up for BCC coach Jamie Howell, recording first-, second- and third-place finishes in fall tournaments.

“Arthur has stepped up to the plate and recorded a first, second and third individually and is one of the top freshmen in NJCAA college golf in the nation,” Howell said.

Last season BCC made its 10th consecutive trip to the National Junior College (NJCAA) national tournament in the last 10 years and Howell is confident an 11th straight tournament appearance is within reach.

We sat down with Leonard at BCC’ Spring Sports Media Day and asked him what he likes about playing for BCC and if he thinks the Titans can win the national title.
