Titans Play To Baseball Tie In Leesburg

BREVARD COUNTY, FL – Brevard Community College’s baseball team played to an 8-8 tie on Friday at Lake-Sumter Community College in Leesburg.

The field does not have lights.

BCC’s record is 4-3-1. Lake-Sumter’s record is 4-1-1.

Its next game is 5 p.m. Monday against Lake Sumter at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus.

Sophomore Chris Dennis was 3-for-5 for BCC on Friday. Jorge Gonzales was 2-for-5 with a home run and T.J. Glessner was 2-for-5.

“We did not pitch very well which led to a few innings where we got into some tough situations and could not get out of them,” BCC head coach Jeff Tam said. “Overall a little bit of a sloppy game.”

BCC had 14 hits to 10 for Lake-Sumter.

The Titans committed one error. Lake-Sumter had three.
