Dr. Gobivenkata Balaji To Explain Hyperlipidemia
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard Health Center and VNA Home Healthcare will present “Understanding Hyperlipidemia: An educational seminar to help you take control of your health” on Wednesday, March 27 at 8 a.m. at the Brevard Health Center, 298 Michigan Ave. in Melbourne.
Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) puts you at risk for heart disease, the leading cause of death in the U.S. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that one in every six Americans has high cholesterol. Unfortunately, there are no symptoms, and many people are unaware they have the condition since they have never had their cholesterol level checked.
If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with high cholesterol, it is imperative that you understand this medical condition along with its causes and how to manage your cholesterol to protect your health and ensure your quality of life.
Dr. Balaji To Explain Hyperlipidemia
Dr. Gobivenkata Balaji, board-certified in internal medicine and a specialist in clinical hypertension, will help you better understand hyperlipidemia and its implications.
Light refreshments will be provided and a VNA nurse will be conducting complimentary blood pressure and blood glucose screenings (must be fasting for glucose screening).
This program is free of charge and open to the public and to RSVP calling VNA Home Healthcare at 321-752-7550.
