Spring Praise Fest  7 kicks off at 11 a.m.on Saturday, March 16 at Riverfront Park in Cocoa and will wrap up at 9 p.m. after a full day of music and family-friendly activities.

The public is invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music of nine Brevard contemporary praise bands scheduled to perform in the Riverfront Park amphitheater at 401 Riveredge Boulevard in Cocoa.

Onsite festival activities and attractions include two giant slides and water park, bounce houses, face painting and assorted children’s crafts and games.

Dozens of people are expected to take part in the “Dance Your Shoes Off” flash mob, as seen on YouTube.

With the addition of the flash mob participants Spring Praise Fest Director Mike Reed said he is expecting a crowd that may be even larger than last year’s estimated 5,000 attendees.

“We are definitely expecting a very large turnout at Riverfront Park in Cocoa Village,” said Reed.  “People bring their entire families out here year after year to be part of an event that is uplifting and positive.  And nothing does that more than the message and praise of Jesus Christ delivered through music.”

Admission is free, although festival goers are encouraged to bring a serviceable pair of shoes for donation to Brevard’s homeless.

Moderately priced food and beverages items will be available for sale.

A complete list of bands and activities can be found online at www.SpringPraiseFest.com or www.Facebook.com/SpringPraiseFest.
