Florida Tech Tumbles In College Baseball Poll

FIT Hosts Palm Beach Atlantic Tonight

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A sub-.500 weekend has pushed Florida Tech out of the top-20 in the national rankings according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll, released Tuesday.

The Panthers, however, remained in the top-25 at No. 24.

Florida Tech came into the week at No. 16, but dropped a mid-week game with Florida Southern before splitting with Georgia Southwestern over the weekend.

The Panthers remain ranked in two other national polls, coming in at No. 22 according to D2BaseballNews.com and No. 24 in the College Baseball Lineup Poll.

The Crimson and Gray will be back in action four times this week, beginning with a mid-week contest with Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday.

The game at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field is set for 6 p.m.

FIT will remain in Melbourne over the weekend as Lynn comes to town for a three-game Sunshine State Conference series.

Friday’s game is set for 6 p.m. and the Saturday doubleheader will begin at noon.
