BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Whether you’re a food truck junkie or a newbie to the whole “food truck” scene, you’ll want to mark your calendars for the first “Food Trucks for a Cause Rally” taking place Thursday evening, March 14 in front of the Roxy Cinema Grill in Palm Bay.

Not only will you be able to fill up on the goodies from the food trucks from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1553 Palm Bay Road NE in Palm Bay, you’ll also be doing your part to help the community as the food trucks will be donating 10 percent of their overall sales that evening to the South Brevard Sharing Center.

Corporate sponsors are being sought to match what the trucks donate and a truck from the Sharing Center will be on site just in case patrons would like to bring some non-perishable food items and/or gently used household items form donation.

“We’re looking at having this event each month with a different local non-profit getting the media exposure and the proceeds,” said event organizer Ryan Seeloff. “Let’s show Brevard County that we can have a great time and give back to the community at the same time.”

There will be as many as 12 trucks on hand for this first event, but more may be called in if needed.

“As with all food truck gatherings you are more than welcome, you might even say encouraged, to bring chairs and collapsible tables so that you can hang out for a bit,” Seeloff said.

The unofficial final lineup for Food Trucks for a Cause includes Cafe Rouge, Monsta Lobsta, Firehouse BBQ, Mayan Grill, The Flattery, Bollywood, 5 Gastronomy, Melissa’s Chicken & Waffles, The Wolfe City Pizza, Sunset Ice, Dana’s Cupcakes and Coffee Urge.
