  1. Heaven has gained one of the greats. Poppo, I am blessed to have a grandfather that I also consider a dear friend. I will miss your wisdom, advice, honesty, encouragement, bravery, and unrivaled sense of humor. I’m glad that I got to spend a lot of time with you as I got older. I always looked forward to visiting you in Florida, our great conversations, listening to your stories and life experiences, road trips in Florida, doing “guy stuff” around the house, making the rounds to visit Howie, Nualah, Tommy P.O., and Conor in Babylon. So many great memories. You told me guys like us have to stick together. I feel like you’ll always be with me in spirit. You are truly a rock and they do not make them like you anymore. It’s difficult to come to terms with the fact that you are no longer here, but I realize that I’m lucky to have had you in my life. So thank you “sir”…I forgot I don’t have to call you “sir”. I may also call you “your highness, your honor, or your majesty.” What a guy!
