Rockledge Hosts ‘A Seussical Celebration’ Today

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The people and animals in children’s books by Dr. Seuss teach important life lessons that stay with us long after we’ve grown up.

Brevard County Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Brevard County Libraries, will host “A Seussical Celebration,” featuring stories, performances, games and activities based on the creations of Dr. Seuss.

The event will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at McLarty Park at 790 Barton Boulevard in Rockledge.

Admission and parking for the event is free and the celebration will feature a variety of food trucks and vendors.

Activities will include bounce houses, exhibitors, face painting, raffles and a Dr. Seuss character costume contest at 6:15 p.m.

The Cat in the Hat will be available for photo opportunities throughout the duration of the event.

Following the activities, the movie, “The Cat in the Hat,” will be shown on an outdoor movie screen at 6:30 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
