Water Polo Tournament Splashes Way To FIT

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Institute of Technology will host the Space Coast Classic, the university’s first men’s water polo tournament, Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17.

The tournament will be held at the Panther Aquatic Center on campus, starting at 9 a.m. each day. Spectators from the general public are welcome.

Participating collegiate teams include those from Georgia Tech, University of Central Florida and Florida Atlantic University; master-level teams are coming from Orlando and Tampa and Puerto Rico.

The team is open to men and women students, faculty and staff who want to join. They are encouraged to come to practice on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Panther Aquatic Center.

The event will include a fastest shot competition on Saturday evening starting around 6 p.m.
