William F. Churchill, 82, Dies March 11

OBITUARY

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – William F. Churchill, 82, of Satellite Beach, died on March 11, 2013.

He was the beloved husband of Therese. He is survived by his children, William (Jan), Kathy, Michael, and Margaret (Donald Friend), sister, Florence Churchill. Proud grandfather of ten, and great-grandfather of four. His first wife, Sally died in 1981 and his sister, Mary died in 2012.

Bill was born in the Bronx, NY to Edwin and Florence Churchill. He graduated from Regis High School and Holy Cross College. He received a MBA from Rollins College. Bill served as a Naval Officer for five years. He workd for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center and was very proud to have helped put men on the moon.

Bill and Therese were snowbirds who spent half the year in Satellite Beach and the other half in Somers, NY.

Bill was a minister to the sick for Holy Name of Jesus Parish for 30 years and a volunteer at Daily Bread. He was a leader of the widowed, separated and divorced group at the church.

Bill was truly a Catholic gentleman who had a big heart and loved to make people laugh. He belonged to the Kape Kanaveral Klown Klub and his clown name was Dingbat.

He was the Dood of Satellite Beach!

A visitation will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday March 17, 2013 at Beach Funeral Homes – East, in Indian Harbour Beach. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus, Indialantic on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 1 p.m. Burial will be held in New York at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daily Bread in Bill’s name.
