Zonta Club To Honor Young Women In Public Affairs

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Applications for the 2013 Young Women in Public Affairs Award are now available.

The goal of the Zonta Club of Melbourne’s Young Women in Public Affairs Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a young woman’s (ages 16 to 19) commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.

Applicants are asked to reflect on their voluntary commitment to their school and to their community and the problems limiting the advancement of the status of women in their own country and worldwide. The Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs program looks to the young women of today for the leaders of tomorrow.

Applications may be obtained by contacting Tiffany Cointepoix at zontainfo@zontaspacecoast.org and must be submitted by March 15 to the Zonta Club of Melbourne, PO Box 417, Melbourne, Florida 32902.

Applicants must be pre-university or pre-college students (age 16-19).
